We hope that this page will help answer questions you may have regarding the application process, scholarships, and the Foundation.

Scholarships and Application

The applications will be accepted each year from January 1 until February 28.

The Foundation currently uses an online application process through SmarterSelect, which allows for the application to be filled in and saved over multiple sessions. The link to the form will be opened from the Application page.

The deadlines for accepting applications is 11:59:59 p.m. PST on February 28.

Congratulations! — Please refer to the acceptance letter you received. Click here to see what this letter will look like.
No — The Foundation will work directly with your university / community college / trade school to coordinate the payout directly to the institution.

If plans for your collegiate career change — such as a deferment or break from college — please contact the Board.

Yes — You must request a deferment and obtain an approval from the Foundation first. Please contact the Board for this.

Donations and support for the Foundation

The Foundation accepts many forms of donations, including via PayPal, cash, checks, bequeathments, and other assets.

Yes — Donors can direct their funds to the General Fund, or to specific scholarship funds upon donation.

Each scholarship description now has a PayPal icon that allows donors to select if they would like to donate directly to that fund (otherwise, funds are given to the General Fund).

While writing checks or cash donation, donors may write a memo note specifying their intended scholarship fund.

Yes — The Foundation works with donors in creating scholarship opportunities, whether one-time awards, or annual scholarships.

Named scholarships can be one-time gifts starting at $500, while annual endowments are supported by a minimum fund of $25,000 to the Foundation.

Scholarships can honor family and friends.
